Herbival | Foraging walks

These foraging walks are part of the Herbival programme

Join medical herbalist and permaculture teacher Victoria Chown from Handmade Apothecary for a foraging plant ID walk around the Streets of London and Paradise gardens. Learn how to identify plants that you’ve walked by many times, growing up through the cracks in the pavement and in hedgerows along the edges of parks and gardens. We will explore their historical, medicinal and culinary uses and discuss folklore and stories from the plant world.

These walks will be socially distanced – please read our Visitors’ Charter and Q&As for the measures we’ve put in place to ensure your visit to the Museum is safe and enjoyable.

About Herbival

A new herbal celebration from the Garden Museum, Herbival puts herbs centre stage. We’ll be shining a light on where to find them, how to grow them and their countless, often long-forgotten uses. Visitors will be able to take part in tastings, talks, pressings, practical workshops and more, and there’ll be shopping too from a carefully curated edit of botanically-led brands.
