Mulled Wine Masterclass

Learn how to make the perfect mulled wine spice bags with our Food Learning Officer, Ceri Jones.  In this workshop you will learn how to blend a range of spices and learn about their history and uses, and make a set of mulled wine bags to taste in the class and take home (or give as gifts!).

10th December, 7.30pm-8:30pm

Botanical Hand Cream

Tanya Moulding will show you how to make your own botanical hand cream, either to give as a gift or keep for yourself. During the workshop you will learn what oils and blends work together and build up your own unique combination.

All tools and materials are provided.

10th December, 7.30pm-9pm

Repton Revealed Friends’ Private View

Take a private tour around Georgian England through the Red Books of Humphry Repton, led by our Curator Eleanor Black. Our new exhibition Repton Revealed: The Art of Landscape Gardening brings together 23 Red Books, the most in one place in 25 years, and explores the relationship between the interior and exterior, and between the garden and the wider landscape. It also investigates Repton himself, including his comparatively late start in landscape design (at the ripe old age of 36) and his use of a wheelchair later in life, after a carriage accident, from which he continued gardening.

10th December, 18:30 – 19:15
