This Floral Badge Making workshop is part of the Garden Museum's new Branch Out programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, floristry, plant science, history, design, and more!
Hosted by artist and badge collector, Alice Ridgway, you will look through some of Alice’s personal collection of badges and create a wearable floral badge with a badge-making machine.
We will use collage, pressed flowers, and embellishments to decorate a paper round loosely based on the theme of spring flowers (head to the Garden Museum’s courtyard garden beforehand for inspiration!). You will then use the mechanical badge machine to press your design into a wearable badge.
All badge-making materials will be supplied but do bring any of your own collage materials or pressed flowers if you would like to create a badge from them.
Our Branch Out programme has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
