Abstract Floral and Foliage Painting

In this introductory workshop , you will try a variety of mediums and create loose painterly, expressive, gorgeous floral paintings, in a relaxing, encouraging environment.

Hosted by Super Nature exhibiting artist Laura Gee, this is the perfect beginners painting workshop for experimenting with mediums including acrylic painting, oil, pastel and crayons.

You will be shown a variety of expressive techniques which Laura uses to create her vibrant paintings, whilst also referencing real flowers and foliage.

Starting off you will explore some simple but effective loose floral line painting techniques, then create expressive floral motifs and mark making, finally moving onto to creating your own acrylic floral painting on paper.

This workshop is suitable for complete beginners to intermediate level. All materials are included, and also guide notes to carry on your painting at home!

This workshop is part of Super Nature, London’s first art fair dedicated to art inspired by plants, flowers and gardens.
