A hand-coloured print of Napoleon Bonaparte as a gardener in exile on the Atlantic island of St. Helena. Titled, ‘The Exile, Sketch from Life at Longwood, April 1820’ and published July 24th 1820 by R. Cubb & Son of 288 Holborn, London.  Napoleon died aged 51 on 5th May 1821, at Longwood House during his exile following defeat by the British at the Battle of Waterloo in 1815.
