Clay for Dementia 2025

The Clay for Dementia programme has been running at the Garden Museum for eight years, since it was first established in collaboration with Arts for Dementia in 2017. This exhibition celebrates the programme and participants, featuring the wonderful artwork they have made, quotes, photographs and information about the ways making with clay has supported people living with dementia and their companions (partners, children, carers, friends).

The exhibition coincides with Clay for Dementia’s lead artist Katie Spragg’s Impact Fellowship at the Royal College of Art and Janine Nelson, the museum’s Head of Learning’s retirement.
