Leaving a gift in your Will is a wonderful way to ensure that your support for the Garden Museum continues into the future.
The Garden Museum receives less than 5% of public funding and relies entirely on the generosity of individuals, trusts and foundations. Leaving a gift to the Museum in your Will, after you have taken care of your family and loved ones, no matter the size, will help us grow the Museum for future generations. We promise that each gift is used with the utmost care and where the need is greatest, transforming your gift into a powerful legacy full of impact.
“Miss Clifford-Wallace’s generous, unrestricted bequest in her Will provided the Garden Museum with the unique opportunity to fund its very first curatorial post. This gift enabled the museum to host exhibitions and shows, leading to the creation of the Garden Museum’s exhibition programme.”
Gifts to charities are tax free, so 100% of your gift will go to the Garden Museum. There are three different types of gifts which you can leave:
A Residuary Gift – This is a gift of a percentage or part of the value of your estate (e.g. 5%), once all your other commitments have been settled.
A Pecuniary Gift – This is a gift of a specific sum of money (e.g. £5,000).
A Specific Gift (of an object) – This is a donation of an object , such as a work of art.
If you are considering leaving a gift to the Garden Museum, or have a specific activity or project you would like to support with your gift, please contact our Development Manager, Andrea Duerr, at andrea@gardenmuseum.org.uk to discuss your ideas. All enquiries will be treated in confidence.
