In our new series #GMinyourgarden, we’re peeking over the fence into gardens across the country to explore their places in our lives today. Not large, designer-led spaces, but small-scale personal gardens lovingly nurtured by their creators (and which nurture them right back!).
This week, Delia Willson’s Devon garden (@honehilldreaming):
“When we moved here five years ago and I saw the beautiful Devon landscape I knew I wanted to create a garden a place where I could absorb myself in nature and embrace the changing seasons. Somewhere I could place my own roots and feel connected to the earth. That need to nurture and create was strong.
A field was my blank canvas (see below for a “before”!), and I have slowly been filling it with flowers and vegetables. It’s not been easy being on a stoney hillside but as the seasons have changed it’s grown and become alive with the hum and flutter of pollinators. It’s a garden that nurtures my heart and soul and a place I cherish.”
