Jarman’s Garden Legacy with Michael Charlesworth

We are pleased to offer this event as part of our online Public Programme. Available as film only.

In our last event of 2020, we were pleased to welcome Michael Charlesworth to the Garden Museum, live from Texas, exploring Jarman’s garden at Prospect Cottage.

Michael was joined by Jonny Bruce, who gardened at the Cottage with Keith Collins and is now responsible for maintaining this renowned garden, and Todd Longstaffe-Gowan, landscape designer and historian to look back on the garden’s history, it’s creation and processes, the trials and tribulations of gardening in such a desolate place through to the garden’s legacy and how it has become a national treasure.

As an added bonus, ticket holders will also receive a digital copy of Gardens Illustrated bookazine Pots of Style (RRP £7.99):

Pots of Style by Gardens Illustrated is brimming with ideas for creating beautiful container displays that celebrate the seasons. It explains how best to combine plants in pots of all shapes and sizes and for gardens of all styles, with easy-to-follow designs from some of the UK’s leading plants people.
