Wild Life Drawing: Exploring our Royal Parks

Join Wild Life Drawing’s Jennie Webber for a drawing class focused on parks and gardens.

Jennie will encourage novice and experienced artists to see plants in winter with new wonder –uncovering ways to appreciate plants that have died back or fallen into a slumber. Plenty of drawing materials will be on offer for you to experiment with and creative guidance on hand if needed.

The room will be set up with three curated botanical displays inspired by specific parks featuring iconic plants, flowers and foliage that reference particular parts of the parks, people or events throughout history. This will include:

  • Hyde Park: Roses (rose garden), herbs (herbaceous borders), speakers corner, wildlife and meadow area (wildflowers)
  • Richmond Park: Fungi, wildflowers, azaleas, rhododendrons, camellias (Isabella Plantation), heather, honeysuckle
  • Kensington Gardens: Vegetables and herbs (allotment), Italian Gardens

This workshop is part of our Overwinter programme in partnership with Seedlip.
