Waxed Rose Ikebana Workshop with Wax Atelier

Make your own unique wax rose creation in this workshop inspired by the exhibition Wild and Cultivated: Fashioning the Rose.

Hosts Wax Atelier are a London-based studio specialising in handmade wax products using natural and sustainable materials, and Lola and Yesenia, the founders of Wax Atelier, have been delving into the archives of Victorian artisans who used to create the most fashionable flowers.

During this 2 hours long workshop, Lola and Yesenia will guide you through their innovative techniques to transform their wax and textile waste into a delicate and life-like Ikebana rose arrangement.

    Wax Atelier

Wax Atelier re-visits traditional techniques ranging from candle dipping, paper making, to crafted textiles using natural wax. Making becomes a tool to experience the interconnection between the natural world and material culture.

WAX Atelier was founded in 2017 by multi-disciplinary designers Lola Lely and Yesenia Thibault-Picazo, in London.

Our products are manufactured in Barking, East London, by a team of trained artisans, originating from the local community.
