Join London Drawing Group for a brand new collaboration with the Garden Museum! For this unique class, we delve into the artistic realm of Jean Cooke, an artist known for her masterful depiction of figures integrated harmoniously within nature.
Online tickets are available here.
In many cases, Cooke’s dynamic depictions of nature almost envelop her subjects, blurring the boundaries between human form and the surrounding environment. Inspired by her approach, we explore the interplay between figures and natural elements, discovering the inherent beauty in their coexistence.
For this session, The Garden Museum will draw on its vast collection of plants, which will be carefully curated to provide a diverse and vibrant environment for our model to pose within. Throughout the class, expect a combination of live demonstrations, practical exercises, and insightful discussions, all aimed at honing your drawing skills and nurturing your artistic expression. Engage with fellow participants, sharing ideas and perspectives, and celebrate the shared journey of exploring Jean Cooke’s work and its connection to nature.
Whether you are an experienced artist or a beginner, this in-person/online life drawing class (online and in-person) offers a space for growth and creative exploration.
