Hey Clay! at the Garden Museum

Inspired by the 1920s book ‘Plants We Play With’ – join us in celebrating wild plants, play and clay! Share your stories of games involving plants and learn how to model the plants in clay or create a clay plant scrapbook by making imprints and monoprints on to clay. You could make a daisy-chain print, cherry earrings, perhaps a cowslip bauble or bring your own ideas.

This workshop is led by artist Katie Spragg, who is currently doing a residency project Lambeth Wilds at the museum.

About Hey Clay!

Run by the Crafts Council, Hey Clay! is a national celebration of clay – giving everyone the chance to unleash their inner potter. This is done by venues offering free participation events with clay over the course of the weekend of 17 – 19 May 2019 as part of the Get Creative festival (which runs 11 – 19th May).

Now in its fourth year, Hey Clay! has become hugely popular and much loved as it gives people the chance to do something they wouldn’t normally do.
