Garden Museum Café | Myles Donaldson celebrates the cooking of Elizabeth David

An evening of recipes inspired by the correspondence between Elizabeth David and Arthur Lett Haines.

To coincide with Thomas Marks’ talk exploring the culinary world of cookery writer Elizabeth David, our Head Chef Myles Donaldson has put together a special set menu. The menu is a direct response to the playful correspondence between Elizabeth David and Lett-Haines during his time at Benton End.

In the letters they frequently discussed the markets and fresh produce she was besotted by on her travels, as well as the dishes she had cooked using herbs and vegetables harvested from Benton end and diligently posted by Haines.

The menu is be prix fixe 3 courses for £35.

Vegetarian options available on request, please let us know when booking.
