FLORA: a new way of “patio hopping”

In 2017, Córdoba began Europe’s most innovative festival of contemporary floral art: FLORA. Each year, six internationally renowned floral artists transform the city’s historic courtyards with vast and impressive floral installations.

Joining us from Spain especially for this talk, FLORA curator Emilio Ruiz Mateo will tell us how open air floral displays have attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors to the city.

Chaired by Alice Vincent of Noughticulture, during questions Emilio will be joined by Carly Rogers, a London-based floral artist whose 2018 designs were installed at the Córdoba Archaeological Museum, built over the ruins of an old Roman theatre.
