We are celebrating Earth Day this year with a colourful bouquet of butterfly themed family workshops. Join us for a range of FREE, drop in, family friendly workshops throughout the day.
Programme
Antennae headdress making with Gemma Clark, Family Learning Officer
10.30am-12.00pm, All ages
We will be using paper and card and recycled materials to make beautiful and imaginative antennae headdresses. Why not wear your creations for the Me&Baby Dance movement workshop?
Butterfly Science with Samia Qureshi, Science Educator
11.00am-12.30pm, Ages 5+
Learn about the butterfly life cycle and how their colour and symmetry helps them to survive in the wild.
Me&Baby Dance with Julia Korning
12.30pm-1.15pm, Ages 2-8
A dance workshop for parents/carers and children together, using dance and movement games to explore the life stages of a butterfly.
Clay butterfly making with Monica Tong
2.00pm-3.30pm, Ages 3+
Using air dry clay we will be making butterflies and decorating with different tools and mark making. You will be able to take your creations away to dry and paint at home.
