Holiday Cookery Workshop 2, Ages 8-12 | Culinary Colour Palette

Join us for a kids Easter holiday cookery workshop to explore our culinary colour palette. In art, and in the garden, artists and gardeners will always consider the colour palette of paints and plants. But can we do this in the kitchen too?

This class is inspired by the colourful exhibition Jean-Marie Toulgouat : Gardening Giverny concurrently on display at the Museum. We recommend everyone takes the time to go and look at the exhibition for colour inspiration while at the Museum – admittance is included with cookery class ticket.

In this kids class we’ll cook a colourful lunch, learn some knife skills using age appropriate knives, how to measure out our ingredients and how to read a recipe.

Sample Menu

  • Purple sprouting broccoli pasta bake
  • Rainbow spring vegetable slaw
  • Mango yoghurt layer pots

This class is designed for children aged 8-12 (and older) who attend without supervision. Parent/guardians can drop off their children and then enjoy spending time in the Museum or Garden Cafe while we cook. We do ask you to stay on-site for the duration of the class.
