Cookery Masterclass | The Art of Stuffed Vegetables with Ceri Jones

Join Ceri Jones, Chef and Garden Museum's Food Educator, for a 3 hour cookery session in our learning studio, a masterclass in the art of stuffing vegetables to create a beautiful seasonal plate of food.

In this class you will learn how vegetables can become the star of your plate, by prepare three different vegetarian stuffed vegetables recipes, and accompaniments from Ceri’s book It Starts with Veg: 100 Seasonal Suppers and Sides.

Through cooking these dishes you will gain valuable veg-specific knife skills, tips on cooking grains, seasoning to taste, and how to beautifully present your food.

You will leave the class feeling confident to recreate these recipes at home, and how to adapt them using alternative vegetables, increasing your recipe repertoire without learning new recipes – a theme that runs throughout the book.

The class will end by sitting down to lunch together to enjoy everything that has been prepared.

Sample Menu

– Round Courgettes Stuffed with Bulgur Wheat, Tomato, and Capers, Served on a Pool of Pesto
– Chickpea Stuffed Aubergine with Tahini Yoghurt and Pomegranate Salsa
– Romano Peppers Stuffed with Courgette, Rice and Walnuts, Served with Whipped Feta and Gremolata

This class is a combination of hands on and demo by Ceri.

Open to all levels of skills and interests. This class is suitable for Adults 18 and over.

*This class is part of our hands-on monthly masterclass cookery sessions, which focus on specialist topics or advanced cooking techniques.  Sessions are usually on Sunday and held in the Garden Museum’s food learning studio. Each class is 3 hours, and will include tastings or a full meal eaten together depending on the course. All profits from our cooking masterclass series help to cover food costs for our community programmes.
