Cookery Masterclass | Provençal Cuisine with Camille Aubert

Join Provence born chef Camille Aubert for a three hour cookery class in our learning studio, exploring authentic Provençal cuisine.

This class has been programmed to coincide with Gardening Bohemia: Bloomsbury Women Outdoors exhibition.  The Bloomsbury artists, particularly Roger Fry, Duncan Grant, and Vanessa Bell, spent years in a succession of rented Provençal villas, particularly in Cassis. It is documented that their travels gave them an appreciation for Southern French Provençal cuisine, which they brought back to their gatherings in London.  In this class with chef Camille you will learn a three course feast of authentic Provençal dishes, and share the Bloomsbury group’s appreciation for the cuisine.

Sample Menu (to be confirmed)

  • Pissaladière
  • Goat cheese stuffed globe artichoke
  • Ratatouille with chickpeas and basil
  • Chocolate olive oil mousse & lavender sablé cookies

During the class we will:
– Learn knife skills including how to hold a knife properly and how to slice, chop and dice
– Make the most of seasonal produces
– Learn classic Provençal recipes
– How to prepare and cook artichokes
– Learn different cooking techniques and baking skills
– Learn new recipes that can be recreated at home to impress your guests

This class is a combination of hands on and demo by Camille
