Branch Out | All About Butterflies

This workshop is part of the Garden Museum's new Branch Out programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, floristry, plant science, history, design, and more!

The Garden Museum and Archive of Garden Design are proud to present a free butterfly themed event inspired by the archives of ecologist and garden designer Marney Hall. Everyone is welcome and there is no need to book – join us to enjoy:

  • A talk from a butterfly expert about how you can create a wildlife haven in your garden/balcony/allotment plot/window box.
  • A short talk about Marney Hall’s scientific work studying butterfly behaviour, and her wildlife focussed garden designs, lectures, and articles.
  • A craft session: make and decorate your own butterfly house or decorate a butterfly feeder inspired by material from Marney’s archive for inspiration.

Our Branch Out programme has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
