Branch Out | A Memory Palate (ft. Iraqi Baklava)

This workshop is part of the Garden Museum's new Branch Out programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, floristry, plant science, history, design, and more!

Join Faye a creative chef and workshop artist (@edible.mediums) as she shares her concept ‘A Memory Palate.’ Through rolling baklava and memories, you will explore food from your childhood while learning how to make a tasty Iraqi treat.

This workshop will focus on food and memory, discussing how our taste buds form individual, unique ‘memory palates’. The workshop will be divided into two parts, with the first being a discussion and drawing of your own memory palate. The second part will cover how to make and roll Iraqi baklava.

The baklava will be made using walnuts, so please beware of this if you have any nut allergies.

Our Branch Out programme has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
