Founder of By-Me, Katie Mitchell, has always loved designing and making, inspired by her mum who set up her own soft furnishing business when Katie was a teenager. Katie studied textile design at university and then went on to work for 10 years as a visual merchandiser for several high street interior and fashion brands. Her work has always been influenced by her love of traditional crafts, handmade textiles, fashion, eclectic interiors and Scandinavian design. Since having her own family, she decided the time was right to go back to her textile roots, and, like her mum, fulfil her dream of running her own business and realise her passion for interiors and fashion.

Participants will be taken through each step, from start to finish, including learning the wrapped, spiral and square knot, trimming the hanger and at the end you will have made yourself a ‘Beautiful & Useful’ Macramé Plant Hanger ready to go and test out with your own pot and plant!
