Enter the Garden Museum Raffle to win the chance to spend an afternoon inside Prospect Cottage, the former home of artist, filmmaker and gardener Derek Jarman.
The money raised from the raffle will support the Garden Museum’s exhibition Derek Jarman: My garden’s boundaries are the horizon. The raffle draw will now take place on Monday 21st September.
First Prize
One winner will spend an afternoon inside the Cottage with a guest. You will also have lunch at the famous Pilot Inn pub on Dungeness, with Amanda Wilkinson, Trustee, gallerist and guide to Jarman’s work as an artist.
The Museum will agree a date with the winner and the Keith Collins Memorial Trust, when government advice on travel and social distancing allows.
Second Prize
Three runners-up will win a money plant (Crassula) cut from Derek Jarman’s very own money plant from his London studio.

Jarman acquired Prospect Cottage, a fisherman’s shack on the shingle, for £32,000, when he came across the building with a ‘For Sale’ sign while filming on the beach with Tilda Swinton and his partner Keith Collins. It was here, having been diagnosed with HIV, that he resolved ‘to get as much out of life as possible’ and begun to create his boundless garden beside a nuclear power station.
The Garden Museum has been granted unprecedented access to Prospect Cottage, which is not currently open to the public, thanks to the generosity of The Keith Collins Memorial Trust and Creative Folkestone.

All tickets must be paid for before being included in the raffle draw.
All profits from these raffles will support the Derek Jarman: My Garden’s Boundaries Are The Horizon exhibition Garden Museum, a registered charity (No.1088221).
Payment for participation in the raffle can be made online by credit/debit card, or in the Museum by cheque, credit card, or cash.
If you buy your ticket online you will be emailed a digital copy of the ticket, and you will be entered automatically into the raffle – there is no need to do anything further.
The prize is non transferable and no alternatives will be provided. The date of your visit will be agreed between the raffle winner and The Keith Collins Memorial Trust and Creative Folkestone. The Garden Museum reserves the right to postpone the date of the visit in exceptional circumstances.
The raffle will be drawn on Monday 21st September 2020. The result of the raffle draw is final, and the winner will be notified
The Garden Museum raffle is open to anyone over the age of 16. The tickets may not be sold to, or by a person under 16 years of age or purchased by Garden Museum employees. If a ticket is sold unknowingly to a person under the age of 16 they will be exempt from the raffle and will forfeit their prize.
