Join us for our Easter holiday cookery workshop, for chefs aged 9-13+!
Many cultures that celebrate Easter, do so by baking some sort of pie. The pie is usually an extravagant bake using a combination of seasonal vegetables, eggs and cheese (and sometimes meat) to use all the ingredients that may have been given up for Lent. Join us to bake our own vegetarian spring vegetable pie, inspired by the Italian Torta Pasqualina. We’ll finish the workshop with some must have Easter egg nest cakes.
During the session chefs will learn valuable knife skills using age appropriate knives, how to measure out ingredients and how to read a recipe.
At the end of the class we will sit down together to enjoy our meal.
This class is designed for children aged 9-13 (and older) who attend without supervision. Parent/guardians can drop off their children and then enjoy spending time in the museum or Garden Cafe while we cook. We do ask you to stay on-site for the duration of the class.
