This workshop is part of the Garden Museum's new Branch Out programme, a series of free events and activities exploring gardening, art, floristry, plant science, history, design, and more!
Join fungi enthusiast and artist Maymana Arefin (aka @fungi.futures) to learn about, admire and illustrate the amazing array of mushrooms all around us.
In this creative ‘life drawing’ session, participants will be invited into the weird and wonderful world of fungi, using a range of art materials to observe and draw their many forms together. The artist will invite us to view our artmaking as a method of deep listening with our fungal kin so that we can appreciate them further.
This event will be an informal, community gathering where any level of experience with art, drawing or mushrooms is welcome! All art materials and fungi to illustrate will be provided.
Our Branch Out programme has been made possible thanks to funding from Arts Council England.
