Join Wolves Lane Flower Company for a flower-filled workshop, and learn the essential skills needed to grow, cut and arrange seasonal flowers to enjoy at home.
Begin the day with coffee and a walk around St Mary’s Garden, an experimental cutting garden collaboration between Wolves Lane Flower Company (joint winners of British Flowers Week 2018) and the Garden Museum, where Marianne and Camila will discuss which plants are good for cutting and how to design a space dedicated to cut flowers. After an introduction to seed sowing and nurturing your seedlings into healthy plants you’ll enjoy a delicious light lunch before returning to the garden to cover the fundamentals of cutting and conditioning your stems. The final session of the day will be an opportunity to arrange London grown flowers into a vase to take home.
The day includes all course materials including a seed tray of seeds, a glass vase, flowers for arranging, lunch and tea and cake and free entry to the Garden Museum that day which would include the opportunity to view the British Flowers Week floral installations in the nave.
