War Gardens by Lalage Snow

Award-winning photographer and war correspondent Lalage Snow has spent a decade covering global conflicts and has been deeply moved by the gardens tended by civilians in the most brutal of warzones. In War Gardens she photographs and profiles these gardens and their gardeners, from Afghanistan to Iraq, Ukraine to Syria, Kashmir to the West Bank. These gardens show something extraordinary about humankind in the face of violence and the hope that gardening can give. At this event she will share the remarkable photos and stories gathered in her stunning book.

The evening will be chaired by Alice Vincent, author, journalist and self-taught urban gardener. The talk will be followed by a Q&A and a book signing with Lalage.
