Join Jennie Webber from Wild Life Drawing at The Garden Museum for an evening of observational drawing exploring natural artifacts.
Attendees will have the opportunity to sketch from a curated selection of rare natural curiosities, including ethically sourced seed pods, shells, eggs, birds nests and other treasures from both land and sea.
A range of materials will be available to experiment with – including watercolours and pen and inks – and workshop leader Jennie Webber will be on hand to demonstrate techniques and provide creative support throughout the class. In addition, we will examine the origins and discuss the evolutionary routes of these natural objects. All abilities are welcome, and the session will start with an in-depth introduction into observational drawing with a focus on form and tone. All materials and subject matter are provided for the class.
