Family Asparagus Online Cookalong Session | May 15th

While social distancing remains we will be running short family feasts cooking sessions online. Join us from your home kitchen.

May is asparagus season in the UK, so for our next family weekend class we absolutely had to make it the star ingredient. We’ll also be making it the focus of our online learning newsletter for May.

Menu:
Mini Asparagus quiche style filo pastry tarts
Side salad with curly spring onions

The session will be held on zoom software, available through a desktop, laptop, or smart phone and a private link to access the class as well as the recipes and ingredients list will be sent out to participants at least 5 days before the class. Our online classes adhere to an online code of conduct, a copy of which will be sent out too.

As usual, our sessions are for small groups – up to 8 families, for maximum interaction. Our family sessions are geared towards children aged 5-10, and they will need to be supervised throughout by an adult.

The sessions will be led by our Food Learning Officer Ceri, from her home kitchen.

Cost £2 per family*, with free places available for those based in Lambeth who need them to be.  Please email ceri@gardenmuseum.org.uk to enquire about free places.

Sessions take place from 10.30-12pm.

*Note: These classes are subsidized to keep prices affordable. Participants will be responsible for sourcing their own ingredients for the cookalong sessions, we estimate the total cost for ingredients for each session to be £8-10 (much less if you have a full store cupboard of staples). We understand that plans change, but since spaces on these classes are very limited we would appreciate a 48 hour notice period if you wish to cancel your place so that it can be passed onto another family.
