Kids Cooking Workshop | Caribbean Aug 3

This year for our kids summer holiday programme we are being inspired by ingredients and recipes from the Caribbean, to tie in with the Museum’s Caribbean Horticultural Heritage Project. Come and join us to cook and eat some delicious dishes from across the Caribbean, taking inspiration and being led by traditional and modern Caribbean cookbooks. .

Aug 3 Menu: Jerk Vegetable Skewers and Roti

These will be cook and eat sessions. We will rotate between three different menus across all our classes this summer, so if you’re coming to more than one, make sure you don’t book the same one twice!

Ticket price £5 per child*, includes all food for the workshop.

Please read the full details below about the format and set up of these sessions before booking.

This class is designed for children aged 8-12, and we will host a small group size of no more than 6 children plus our Food Learning Officer Ceri. Children will work independently with their own chopping area and equipment (or in pairs if from the same family) and spaced out around the room.  As our learning studio kitchen is small, children will attend the session unsupervised by their parents, but we ask that at least one parent stays on site during the cooking session – either in our gardens, or in the Museum. Entry to the Museum is included in the cooking class ticket, but does not include entry to the Constance Spry Exhibition. If you would like to visit this new exhibition, a timed ticket will need to purchased in advance on line. Parents will need to leave contact details. Furthermore we ask that you read our Garden Museum visitor charter before your visit.

If there are any queries about the set up before booking a place please get in touch with Ceri on ceri@gardenmuseum.org.uk

If the session is marked as full, please add your name to the waiting list, and you will be notified if an extra place becomes available
