This August the Garden Museum will be running short online family cookalong sessions, all based around herbs that can be grown at home.
Whilst social distancing remains, we will be holding our family feasts cooking sessions online, so you’ll be able to join us from your home kitchens throughout the summer holidays.
As usual, our sessions will be for small groups, for maximum interaction. We’re shortening them to 1 hour as we know that cooking on screen requires a lot more attention than cooking in person.
We aim to keep the recipes, ingredients and equipment required very simple to make them open to all. We’ll let you know what you will need a week before the class.
Our family sessions are geared towards children aged 5-10, and they will need to be supervised throughout by an adult. Please note that solo adults will not be allowed to attend the class.
Sessions will be run on zoom software, available through a desktop, laptop, or smart phone and a private link to access the class will be sent out to participants the day of the event. Our online classes adhere to an online code of conduct, a copy of which will be sent out with the ingredients list.
All sessions will be led by our Food Learning Officer Ceri, from her home kitchen.
Cost £2 per family*, with free places available for those based in Lambeth who need them to be. Please email email@example.com to enquire about free places.

If the classes prove popular, we may be able to schedule in a few more! Watch this space.
*Note: These classes are subsidized to keep prices affordable. Participants will be responsible for sourcing their own ingredients for the cookalong sessions. We understand that plans change, but since spaces on these classes are very limited we would appreciate a 48 hour notice period if you wish to cancel your place so that it can be passed onto another family.
