Each school holiday we host hands on food learning cooking workshops for children aged 6-10, in our learning studio kitchen. Come and join us this February half term when we'll be exploring and cooking a variety of seasonal and delicious brightly coloured citrus fruits.
In these sessions, we’ll be celebrating the whole citrus family utilizing their zest, juice and flesh, to create some delicious dishes. During the session we’ll also have a chance to look at the small ‘Citrus x Meyeri’ trees we are growing in the Museum’s Orangery.
There will be 2 week day classes and a class on Saturday morning – all classes will contain the same recipes.
The course will take place in our food learning studio. All food and equipment is provided and the session includes a light vegetarian lunch.
The idea of our classes is that the whole family gets involves and cooks together, this is not just for the children! The session includes a family friendly light vegetarian lunch, and all food is provided. We welcome children and their families aged 6-10. Monday will be taught by our Food Learning Officer Ceri Jones, whilst Friday and Saturday will be taught by cooking teacher Nena Foster.
If you or your child has any allergies please let us know in advance.
Tickets are £3* for all participants. All children must be accompanied by an adult or carer, who must purchase a ticket and will take part in the class. Ticket price includes entry to The Museum
*This class is subsidized to keep prices affordable
Please note the sessions are usually very popular, so early booking is advised.
Our other learning programme activities at half term run from 17-20th February 2-4pm and include making a cabinet of curiosities.
