Join Nena Foster - Natural Chef, Fermentationist and Founder of online fermentation community The Brine Club for a masterclass in lacto-fermentation.
In this 3 hour class in our purpose built learning studio kitchen you will learn the basics skills needed to safely ferment delicious food and drink, and about the health benefits of eating fermenting foods.
The class will cover milk kefir (dairy and non-dairy), sauerkraut, chutney, as well as water kefir and you will make four delicious recipes to take home and enjoy or to be gifted as presents. Participants will be provided with advice and support to look after and make their own ferments at home.
This is a small class so participants will benefit from Nena’s expertise.
The class will include:
- A basic guide to fermentation – covering how to, health and safety aspects, health benefits
- Sampling of various ferments
- Four different ferments will be covered – milk and water kefir, sauerkraut, chutney
- Ferments to take home in reusable glass jars
- Recipes to take home
Open to all levels of skills and interests. This class is suitable for Adults 16 and over.
