Cooking Masterclass | Caribbean Plant Based Feast with Annika Clinkett

Join chef and nutritional therapist Annika Clinkett for a 3 hour cookery masterclass in our learning studio kitchen, as we discover the unique and wonderful world of Caribbean cooking and how to create a mouth-watering plant based feast using seasonal produce alongside specialist Caribbean ingredients.

Annika says “We will explore exotic foods of the Caribbean taking you on a journey of discovery and historic stories about where these foods derived from.”

In this class you will:

  • Learn about Caribbean food, and the nuances of island cuisine
  • Explore specialist Caribbean ingredients alongside British seasonal produce
  • Cook everything from scratch
  • Learn about plant based cuisine
  • Enjoy a delicious lunch
  • Be given a recipe pack to take home      
  • PLUS takeaway containers to take home food to share with your nearest and dearest

Jerk Jackfruit wrapped in spelt roti, filled with stewed black beans, avocado and other goodies including potato based mayonnaise and jerk sauce.

Beautiful pineapple and red cabbage salsa
Beverage of Guinness punch!

Open to all levels of skills and interests. This class will include a mixture of hands on by participants and demonstration by the instructor. This class is suitable for Adults 16 and over.

This event ties in with our Carribean Horticultural Heritage Project

In light of current social distancing recommendations, we are reducing the capacity of all our cooking sessions. If guidance on social distancing is abandoned before this session takes place we will increase capacity as appropriate. If the session sells out in the meantime, do add your name to the waitlist and we will notify you when extra places become available.

    To enter Nika’s Kitchen is to discover a world of expert nutrition, horticultural expertise and naturally delicious food. Dedicated to serving up a plant-based lifestyle, founder Annika Clinkett brings all her skills to the table; she’s a chef and nutritional therapist with a healthy amount of experience.

    To date, Nika’s Kitchen has worked with a variety of organisations; providing catering, food demonstrations, specialised programmes and bespoke plant-based workshops. While the day-to-day is about exploring life’s clean-living alternatives, the goal is to help make the philosophy of Nika’s Kitchen a simple way of life.
