‘Come for Dinner’ a Cook and Eat Cookery Session for Local Families

We’re planning some new cooking sessions specifically for families who live in the local vicinity of the Museum, and hosting two FREE taster sessions this July in our learning studio kitchen. Come with your family after school to cook your dinner with us.

In this two hour session we will learn to cook a vegetarian main dish a side dish and dessert. We’ll introduce you to some familiar, and perhaps less familiar vegetables and get you comfortable with chopping, grating, stirring, and tasting. At the end of the session we will sit down and enjoy everything we have cooked together family style around our big table.

We often take our inspiration from international cuisine so expect to see some interesting dishes on our menus. All recipes are based on accessible ingredients, and we hope that you’ll want to recreate them at home. If these sessions prove popular we will be organising regular sessions after the summer holidays.

Sessions are free for residents of Bishop’s and Prince’s Ward (which means your postcode likely starts with SE1 or SE11), these classes are subsidised and primarily offered to lower income families.
