Join us for the British Flowers Week Late, with live music from Nnamdi Nachi-Cole, Hass Richards & Maisie Goulsbra, a floral inspired workshop led by Ellie Pritchard, and an opportunity to see this year’s floral installations after hours.
The country’s top florists are creating installations designed to immerse you in the best in floral design. The sculptural flower installations will be made using seasonal, sustainably-sourced, British-grown flowers, arranged with environmentally friendly materials.

During the panel, the floral designers will be discussing the inspirations and process behind their installations, their careers in flowers, how they approach seasonality and sustainability in floral design, and their hopes for the futures of the floristry industries. Taking inspiration from the current temporary exhibition, Benton End: A Paradise of Pollen and Paint, there will be a drop-in mini art school inspired by Cedric Morris and Arthur Lett-Haines’ radical East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing. Drop in at any point during the evening to explore the creative process of making natural inks from flowers. Working within quick, playful artistic limitations, you will create your own unique impression of the spectacular British Flowers Week installations, taking away your own captured glimpse of the evening.
Ellie Pritchard is a socially engaged facilitator, illustrator and community gardener based in South London. With over a decade of experience across community engagement and art education, Ellie’s practice bridges the gap between creative play and the natural world. She is the founder of Arbor, a social enterprise that supports access to nature and empowers community groups to create and care for local green spaces. Her dynamic, nature-based workshops often explore the magic of plants often through colour foraging and natural dyeing. She currently delivers sessions for organisations including Kew Gardens, Southwark Council, the Museum of Homelessness and Southern Housing.
Nnamdi Nnachi-Cole is a young pianist with a beautiful flowing integrity of sound. His ballad playing is insightful and mature coupled with an effortless urgency when the music is powerful and fast pace. Trained at the esteemed Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, Nnamdi is already turning heads and attracting positive waves as one of the newest emerging stars on the London jazz scene.
Hass Richards is a self-taught guitarist and bassist influenced by R&B, gospel, and jazz. After studying Biological Sciences at university, he attended the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy, where he transitioned from guitar to upright bass. He has performed at venues such as the Vortex, the 606 Club, World Heart Beat, and the National Theatre, while also teaching guitar and bass across London.
Maisie is a singer-songwriter whose music blends the warmth of UK soul with the sophistication of London’s vibrant jazz scene. Her captivating velvet-toned vocals, groove-driven acoustic arrangements, and honest storytelling have earned her a growing reputation as an exciting emerging artist, recently selling out London’s Loom Club with her band – she has also performed at The 606 Club, The Lower Third, Hootananny, and The Fox and Firkin. Originally from Lincolnshire, Maisie moved to London to study at Goldsmiths and trained at the Julian Joseph Jazz Academy where she now mentors and continues to study. Her debut EP is on the horizon.
