Postcard of the Crystal Palace
This postcard from c.1905 shows the central lily pool of the Crystal Palace, lined with fountains, urns and statues. At over 1848 feet long and 408 wide, the palace had two huge towers and fountains with over 11,000 jets. The palace was destroyed in a fire on the night of November 30th 1936.
