Postcard for the Ancient Order of Free Gardeners
Standing proudly in front of their elaborately decorated banner are gentlemen members of the National United Order of Free Gardeners, Kingston-Upon-Hull District. For their ‘walk’, the members are formally dressed in suits and bowler hats; they also wear the medal and collar of the Order. This photograph dates from 1909 and was addressed to a Miss R Mason in Harrogate from Arthur.
