In today’s Sunday Telegraph we shared our plans to work with the Pinchbeck Charitable Trust on their visionary project to revive Benton End, where from 1940 Cedric Morris and Lett Haines lived, gardened, and set up the East Anglian School of Painting and Drawing. In due course we hope to apply to the National Heritage Memorial Fund for support towards this long-term project.
We are not asking Friends and supporters for support for this project as right now, like so many Museums and arts organisations, we are working to survive the Covid-19 crisis. We have recently launched an Appeal towards the £270,000 we require to save the Museum.
However, if you would like to hear more about the ideas for this long-term project – or to share a thought – please write to info@gardenmuseum.org.uk and title your email ‘Benton End’.
