Food Learning Officer

Part-time (3 days a week), 1 year fixed-term, £25,000 per annum pro-rata

The Garden Museum has received funding from a Foundation for a new learning role dedicated to food-based activities at the Museum, which is about to re-open after a £7.5 million restoration and extension.
We are looking for someone who can combine an understanding of schools and community learning in a Museum context with an inspiring approach to the growing, preparation and sharing of food, and a knowledge of the debate around the culture of food and health in the modern city, in particular, among young people.

Retail Manager

Full-time, £25,000 per annum 

A successful shop has always been at the core of the Museum’s growth and on re-opening will be in a new and more prominent location at the entrance to the historic building.

The Retail Manager role is an ideal job for someone aspiring to make their career in heritage or Museum retail.This includes buying products that reflect the Museum’s ethos and fit the visitor profile in terms of pricing, style and requirements, including developing retail packages to complement each of the 3 main exhibitions a year and Garden Museum branded items.

Duty Managers

Casual (zero hours), £10 per hour

After re-opening we continue to publicise 3 exhibitions per year and over 40 events including corporate hire and weddings. 

We are recruiting Duty Managers, who will be responsible for managing and maintaining the Museum’s Venue Hire functions during out-of-hours events.
