Volunteer Job Description For Reception & Gift Shop

Welcoming visitors to the museum and answering any questions that they may have.

Being pro active, helpful and conscientious at all times.

Handling Admission Fees and Processing shop sales

Visual Display
Ensuring the shops visual merchandising is displayed correctly at all times.

Deliveries
Unpacking and pricing new stock as it arrives and displaying according to the instructions of your supervisor.

Opening and Closing
Following opening and closing procedures as instructed by your supervisor.

Training and support
Will be given in all duties.

In addition
To help other members of staff and volunteers as directed by your supervisor

Skills (preferred but no past experience necessary)
Excellent customer service
Knowledge of History and or gardening
Past experience working with tills and cash handling
