The Garden Museum aims to be the country's leading venue for events and exhibitions on gardens and garden design. Our innovative programme of reflects the vibrant history of gardening.

Since we re-opened in November 2008, Garden Museum visitors have enjoyed talks from influential designers, including Tom Stuart-Smith and Dan Pearson; exhibitions on Beth Chatto and the Highgrove Florilegium; the chance to buy plants from the country's best nurseries at our Plant Fairs; and talks on some of the world's best gardens, including Jardin Plume.

Topiary Weekend

Our first ever Topiary Fair, in partnership with the European Boxwood and Topiary Society. A range of exhibitors will sell topiary and related goods and there will be a series of talks and workshops each day.

Braam van Wyk
Plants of South Africa's Highveld

Prof. Braam van Wyk, one of South Africa’s leading botanists will be visiting the Museum this September to talk on the beauty and ecology of South Africa’s stunning Highveld Grasslands. Braam’s childhood interest in ecology and plants in particular, led him to become a professor of botany at the University of Pretoria. He has written numerous books and articles on this unique landscape and is considered the leading authority on Highveld plants in the world. His book“Field Guide to the Wild Flowers of the Highveld” is viewed by many as the ‘bible’ for identifying flowering plants in that landscape.
